Dynamic decentralised algorithms for cognitive radio relay networks with multiple primary and secondary users utilising matching theory

چکیده
We propose a distributed spectrum access algorithm for cognitive radio relay networks with multiple primary users (PUs) and multiple secondary users (SUs). The key idea behind the proposed algorithm is that the PUs negotiate with the SUs on both the amount of monetary compensation, and the amount of time the SUs are either (i) allowed spectrum access, or (ii) cooperatively relaying the PU’s data, such that both the PUs’ and the SUs’ minimum rate requirements are satisfied. The proposed algorithm is shown to be flexible in prioritising either the PUs or the SUs. We prove that the proposed algorithm will result in the best possible stable matching and is weak Pareto optimal. Numerical analysis also reveals that the distributed algorithm can achieve a performance comparable to an optimal centralised solution, but with significantly less overhead and complexity. متن کاملCognitive Radio Relay Network Performance Analysis by using Game Theory
Cognitive radio plays a vital role in wireless communication. The cognitive radio composed of a transceiver which is used to check the channel vacancy for communication and avoids busy channels by shifting into unused channel. The scope for spectrum vacancy and area of coverage is increased by using cognitive radio. In cooperative relay network to transmit the primary traffic the primary users ...
متن کاملRelay Selection and Resource Allocation in Cognitive Two-Way Relay Networks Based on Bipartite Matching Algorithm
A new relay selection and resource allocation scheme for cognitive two-way relay networks based on bipartite matching algorithm is proposed in this work. We assume a primarysecondary network such that both primary and secondary users utilize the licensed spectrum, simultaneously. In this scenario, some of cognitive radio (CR) nodes are selected by matching algorithm as relays to provide a bidir...
متن کاملJoint cooperative relay scheme for spectrum-efficient usage and capacity improvement in cognitive radio networks
In order to improve the efficiency of spectrum resource usage and the capacity of wireless networks, cooperative relay techniques which utilize the vacant spectrum of primary users for secondary users’ data transmission have been applied in cognitive radio networks. Considering the dynamic time-varying vacant spectrum resources and achievable rate on different channels at relay nodes (RN), the ...
متن کاملJoint Subchannel Pairing and Power Control for Cognitive Radio Networks with Amplify-and-Forward Relaying
Dynamic spectrum sharing has drawn intensive attention in cognitive radio networks. The secondary users are allowed to use the available spectrum to transmit data if the interference to the primary users is maintained at a low level. Cooperative transmission for secondary users can reduce the transmission power and thus improve the performance further. We study the joint subchannel pairing and ...
